Furioso Winery’s White Pinot Noir Earns Oregon Wine Press Recognition
Furioso Winery is celebrating their 2024 White Pinot Noir being selected as an Oregon Wine Press “Cellar Select” for September. This unique wine—Pinot Noir grapes vinified as a white wine—was praised by critics for its “vibrant, fruit-forward” aromas of Hood strawberry and Rainier cherry, with tasting notes that include cherry soda, red plum, and a “strawberry shortcake ending.”
The wine was chosen through blind tasting among dozens of competitors and has been the most popular selection in Furioso’s tasting room this summer. With only a few cases remaining, the winery is calling this the final opportunity to purchase this limited-production wine.
The Oregon Wine Press highlighted the wine’s “crisp minerality,” “weighty mouthfeel,” and “lively vivaciousness” with Meyer lemon notes providing brightness to the fruit-forward profile.
