Customize your Library Insights

Pick which charts you see and reorder them however you like. Open Library Insights and tap the gear icon in the top right. Each chart can be toggled with the eye icon or dragged to a new position. Try one of the three quick presets — Collector basics, Geo explorer, or Cellar manager — or build your own. Your layout follows you across devices.

When we first shipped the new Library Insights dashboard, we packed it with charts — varietal, type, vintage, drinking window, country, state, appellation, bottle age, consumption over time, what you actually drink, removal reasons. Twelve in total. Useful, but a lot to land on. A regional collector cares deeply about countries and AVAs; a casual drinker mostly wants to know which bottles to drink this month. Forcing everyone to scroll through everything wasn’t right.

The picker is a single column. Tap the eye to show or hide; drag the handle to reorder. Hidden charts sink to the bottom of their section visibly so they’re still discoverable. Save once, and the layout follows you to other devices. The three presets exist for anyone who’d rather not tweak — Collector basics is the default for new users, Geo explorer leads with geography, Cellar manager focuses on drink-soon and consumption signals.

We deliberately skipped the more common two-column “active vs. available” pattern. Two-column drag-and-drop is fiddly on a phone — your thumb has to drop precisely into the other column. One list with two distinct gestures (tap to toggle, drag to reorder) works much better on touch.

Long charts like By Vintage and By Appellation also collapse to a top-10 view with “Show all” to expand — no more endless scrolling past the long tail.
