68 & Vine Veterans Winery

68 & Vine Veterans Winery is the work of Ron and Rebecca Joyce, two military veterans who built an eight-acre vineyard, apple orchard, and winery on their 40-acre farm in Spruce Hill Township, north of Alexandria, Minnesota. The vineyard grows 16 cold-hardy grape varieties, more than half of them developed by the University of Minnesota. Their wines include fruit wines, white wines, and a "Wines in Honor of our Military" series dedicated to individual branches, such as Frontenac for the Army, La Crescent for the Navy, and Marquette for the Marine Corps. The tasting room sits among pine trees and offers private tours and tastings of the winery's varietal wines. The Joyces also host private events like weddings and showers on the property. The business reflects their interests in family, military service, and the region, begun as a retirement project rooted in a love of the outdoors and wine.
