Alpenfire Orchards & Cider is a family-owned cidery located in Port Townsend, Washington, within the Pacific Northwest region. The winery's focus lies in crafting authentic ciders that pay tribute to heritage apple varieties and traditional cider-making methods. Their organic estate orchard was intentionally planted for cider production, with apples sourced exclusively from their property and local organic family orchards. Alpenfire Cider offers a range of styles, including single-variety and orchard-based blends, as well as barrel-aged and sparkling ciders. The tasting room and estate orchard are situated at 220 Pocket Lane in Port Townsend, although regular tastings will not be available on-site this summer due to renovations. Instead, the cidery will offer select dates for club releases and cider experiences by reservation. For group tastings, reservations can be made for Saturdays and Sundays during the Summer and Fall, which include a guided tasting flight, tour of the production facility and orchard, and small bites. The property shares space with native wildlife, including deer and eagles, and visitors are encouraged to bring picnics while keeping pets in vehicles.
