Amelia Wynn Winery Bistro

Amelia Wynn Winery, founded in 2008 by Paul Bianchi, is a boutique winery based in eastern Washington, producing small lots of Bordeaux, Rhone, Italian, and Spanish varietals, never exceeding 1200 cases annually. Bianchi's background in residential general contracting allowed him to focus on winemaking as a secondary occupation, leveraging the region's excellent terroir and collaborating with skilled vineyard managers to produce high-quality grapes. The winery's philosophy emphasizes the art and craft of winemaking, prioritizing hedonistic wines that showcase the unique characteristics of each varietal. The Amelia Wynn Winery Bistro, established in 2019, serves as the primary tasting room for the winery, offering an intimate setting where guests can pair Amelia Wynn wines with honest bistro cuisine inspired by Iberian Peninsula dishes. Although initially forced to transition to takeout-only service due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Bistro has since been sold to three employees, Erika Johannsen and Nick Van den Bosch, who continue to feature pairing of Amelia Wynn wines with eclectic cuisine. The Bistro's unique atmosphere is complemented by the adjacent Wendy Armstrong Art Gallery, showcasing the artist's oil paintings inspired by strong landscape and structural forms, often depicting eastern Washington landscapes or European travels.
