Bainbridge Vineyards

Bainbridge Vineyards is a women-owned winery rooted in sustainability, located on Bainbridge Island in Washington State's Puget Sound AVA. The winery has been estate-grown for over 45 years, with all grapes sourced from its 15-acre vineyard situated within a 40-acre historic farm. Certified organic and crafted using draft horsepower and regenerative practices, the wines reflect the unique terroir of the region. Gerard and Jo Ann Bentryn founded the winery in 1977, inspired by their study of viticulture and enology in Europe, New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa. They released their inaugural estate-grown vintage in 1982, becoming one of the oldest wineries in Washington State. Under new cooperative ownership since 2013, Betsey Wittick continues to grow grapes, make wine, and oversee the winery's operations. The tasting room is open Thursday through Sunday, offering a charming farm setting where visitors can taste island-grown wines amidst the vineyards. Regular events include live music, seasonal festivals, local pop-ups, and vineyard tours, immersing guests in the vineyard's charm.
