Barrel 1 Winery is a family-owned and operated estate in Ramona, California, situated on the Cassidy Estate. The winery's philosophy centers around harnessing the unique terroir of their location to craft exceptional wines. Their vineyard benefits from the region's volcanic soil, artesian water, and gentle winds, which are carefully tended to produce a range of varietals, including award-winning Black Widow Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Polo Blend, Muscat Canelli, Viognier, Spanish Rose, and European Orange wine. The tasting room, opened in April 2015, evokes a Tuscan ranch-style atmosphere, allowing visitors to experience the essence of their terroir through every sip. Barrel 1 offers wine club membership with discounted prices, exclusive events, and promotions, as well as two complimentary glasses or tastings for members picking up their orders. The winery is open Friday through Sunday from 12-6 PM for tastings and visits.
