Barrister Winery

Barrister Winery, located in Spokane, Washington, is known for its award-winning wines, particularly those made from varietals such as Zinfandel and Cabernet Franc. The winery's story began with two lawyers, Greg Lipsker and Michael White, who turned a hobby into a passion after purchasing a wine-making kit on vacation in British Columbia. Their initial success led to the production of 1½ tons of grapes in Greg's garage in 2000, earning them three gold medals and one silver at the Indy International Wine Competition. Today, Barrister Winery offers a range of wines for sale online and at their tasting room, which features live music events on select nights. The winery has two locations: its main facility at 1213 W. Railroad Ave., Spokane, WA, and a downtown tasting room at 203 N. Washington St. #100. While the winery does not serve food, visitors are welcome to bring their own to enjoy during live music events or tastings. The atmosphere is casual, with no reservations required for music nights, although seating is first-come, first-served. Barrister Winery participates in local art and music events, such as the Little Spokane River Artist Tour, which showcases over two dozen artists and their work.
