Bartholomew Park Winery is a 375-acre private park in Sonoma Valley, California, that serves as the site for the winery's operations. The property has a rich history dating back to 1857 when Count Agoston Haraszthy launched the California premium wine industry here. Today, the winery produces award-winning estate-grown wines under the ownership of the non-profit Bartholomew Foundation. The foundation was established by Frank and Antonia Bartholomew in 1943, who discovered that their land was the birthplace of California viticulture. They restored historic structures and replanted vineyards, which had lain dormant for decades, and operated three wineries on the property during their nearly 50-year tenure. The winery's tasting room is located in a newly renovated mission-style building from 1922, with outdoor tasting grounds offering breathtaking views of sustainably farmed vineyards. The winery was formed by Anna Pope, Co-Trustee of the Bartholomew Foundation, and noted Winemaker Kevin Holt to honor the legacy of the Bartholomews and continue their commitment to land conservation, preservation, and education.
