Belle Pente Vineyard and Winery is a 70-acre estate located two miles east of Carlton, Oregon, within the Yamhill-Carlton American Viticulture Area. Founded in 1994 by Brian and Jill O'Donnell, the winery celebrates its 30th harvest, producing premium Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Chardonnay from their estate vineyard and carefully selected partner vineyards. The winery's guiding principle is rooted in Burgundian and Alsatian traditions, emphasizing that great wine is made in the vineyard rather than merely nurtured in the winery. With a focus on sustainable practices, Belle Pente's 16-acre vineyard rises from 240 to 500 feet, offering south-facing exposures for optimal grape ripening. The estate produces approximately 3,000 cases of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay annually, with an additional 1,500 cases sourced from partner vineyards.
