Benson Vineyards

Benson Vineyards Estate Winery, located in Manson, Washington, is a family-owned and operated winery that has been producing award-winning wines since 2005. The winery was founded by Paul and Kathy Benson, who fell in love with the Lake Chelan area during their vacationing days in the late 1970s. After researching and joining the Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers, they began growing grapes in the Chelan area and eventually opened their tasting room in 2005. Today, the winery produces around 3,500 cases annually, with a focus on red wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot. The winery's tasting room offers over 12 different wines for visitors to sample, and their wines are also available online and in local restaurants and wine shops throughout the valley. Scott Benson, one of the sons, serves as the winemaker, and Beth McGuffin, a graduate of Central Washington University's World Wine Program, joined the family as an "Honorary Benson" in 2006 to help with marketing and sales efforts.
