bigLITTLE Wines

bigLITTLE Wines is a small-batch winery located on the Leelanau Peninsula, 12 miles north of Traverse City and 5 miles south of Suttons Bay, Michigan. The winery was founded by brothers Michael and Peter Laing, who grew up in Ann Arbor but have strong ties to Northern Michigan. Their parents planted two acres of winegrapes in Lake Leelanau in the early 2000s, which eventually led to the brothers' involvement in the family business. In 2007 and 2009, Mike and Pete moved back to the area and began working at MAWBY Sparkling Wines, where they developed a plan for their own brand, bigLITTLE Wines. Today, the winery operates three Leelanau County vineyards and sources all of its fruit from those farms. The Laing brothers are known for creating high-value, handcrafted wines that reflect both their personalities and the unique terroir of Michigan's Leelanau Peninsula. The tasting room at bigLITTLE Wines offers a small-town vibe, with a focus on sharing stories and connecting people over wine. Visitors can taste a range of wines, including seasonal favorites like Underdog Gamay Noir and Duneclimb Sauvignon Blanc. The winery also produces a dessert wine, Pommeau, as well as the off-dry blend Mixtape. With its emphasis on small-batch production and family-owned heritage, bigLITTLE Wines offers a unique and authentic wine experience that is deeply rooted in Michigan's Leelanau Peninsula.
