Bottle House is a wine shop and bar located in the heart of downtown Charlottesville, Virginia, founded by Louie Cornay in 2020. The winery's philosophy emphasizes genuine customer service, value, and fun discoveries, with a focus on sharing wines from around the world. In December 2023, Bottle House was reborn with a wine bar serving wines and beers by the glass, as well as cheeses and charcuterie. The shop hosts various events, including weekly free in-store wine tastings every Thursday from 5-7 pm, Music Nights on Fridays featuring local artists, and monthly book clubs. Bottle House is known for its eclectic selection of wines from Italy, Spain, France, and other regions, with a focus on organic and biodynamic practices.
