Briar Rose Winery

Briar Rose Winery is situated in Temecula Valley, a region known for its warm climate and diverse wine production. The winery's estate was originally built by Beldon Fields, who purchased land in the 1970s and constructed replicas of Snow White's cottage as a tribute to his wife. The property features an old olive tree, relocated from Calloway Winery, which is one of the largest and oldest olive trees in California. In the early 1990s, Les and Dorian Linkogle acquired the estate with the intention of preserving its architecture. The winery's vineyards were planted in the late 1990s with Viognier, Merlot, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Riesling grapes. The Linkogles began selling their grapes to local wineries, but soon discovered that the estate was well-suited for producing award-winning wines. The winery offers a range of experiences, including wine tastings, picnics, photo shoots, and events such as weddings and corporate gatherings. Reservations are required for visits, which can be made through their booking website. The winery is open Thursday to Sunday from 12pm to 5pm, with last reservation seating at 4pm. They also host various events throughout the year, including a Bordeaux River Cruise in 2027 and a Butterfly Encounter. The winery's atmosphere is characterized by its fairy tale cottages and lush gardens, making it an ideal setting for special occasions and romantic getaways.
