Briceland Vineyards

Briceland Vineyards is a small, family-owned winery located in Humboldt County, California, approximately 5.5 miles west of Redway. Founded in 1985 by Winemaker Joe Collins and Maggie Carey, the winery has been producing distinctive, site-driven wines for over four decades. Briceland's signature style revolves around handcrafted small-batch production, with a focus on showcasing the unique characteristics of each vineyard and vintage. Their wines are expressive of their cool climate region, featuring Single Vineyard Pinot Noirs, crisp no-oak whites, lower-alcohol reds, and a famous Brut Sparkling wine. The winery offers a relaxed atmosphere for tasting, with drop-in hours on Fridays to Sundays from 3-6 pm, as well as Wednesday and Thursday tastings at 4:30 pm. Visitors can enjoy a charcuterie board with their tasting, which is $30 per person (fee waived with three-bottle purchase). The winery also offers wine tours and tastings by appointment, allowing guests to experience the beauty of the vineyards and learn about the winemaking process. With a production level of around 2,000 cases per year, Briceland wines are truly hand-made, using traditional techniques such as small-batch fermentation in stainless steel or oak barrels.
