Bridgeview Vineyards & Winery is situated in the Illinois Valley near Cave Junction, Oregon, one of Southern Oregon's oldest vineyards. Founded by Lelo Kerivan in 1982, the winery focuses on German varietals and aims to create a unique experience with its welcoming atmosphere. The family-owned business has been passed down through generations, with Rene Eichmann taking over as vice president and head winemaker from his father, Lelo. Bridgeview's approach emphasizes tradition, with a deliberate and methodical production process that allows for focus on local and regional sales. The winery has scaled back its sales team to concentrate on quality over quantity, resulting in a limited but refined wine portfolio. Dieter Hemberger, an old friend from Germany, was instrumental in shaping the winery's early years, teaching Rene and other winemakers the art of German-style winemaking. Today, Rene oversees daily operations, often juggling multiple tasks simultaneously, while his son Andy plays a key role in production testing and monitoring wine quality. Marissa Tromler serves as office manager, handling marketing, sales, and events, ensuring a seamless experience for visitors to the tasting room.
