Buckel Family Wine

Buckel Family Wine is a family-owned winery in Gunnison, Colorado, in the Gunnison Valley of the Rocky Mountains. Founded by Joe and Shamai Buckel, the winery crafts small-batch, minimal-intervention wines from grapes grown on family farms across Colorado's Western Slope. Joe Buckel trained in Sonoma at Flowers Vineyard and Winery, BR Cohn Winery, and Sutcliffe Vineyards before establishing the Colorado operation. The lineup includes Pinot Noir, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Rosé, Cinsault, and PétNat. The wines are made with a light-touch approach, resulting in dry wines with zero added sugars, low sulfites, and lower alcohol. Visitors can stop by the Gunnison tasting room for a lineup tasting, a red or light flight, a glass, or a bottle, and the space can be rented for private events. Buckel wines are also sold at select Colorado wine shops and restaurants.
