Catoctin Breeze Vineyard, a family-owned estate in Thurmont, Maryland, produces handcrafted wines from its 10-acre vineyard in the northeastern foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Founded by Wojciech and Alicja Fizyta, who migrated to America nearly 40 years ago, the winery's signature style is characterized by elegant and ethereal wines that reflect the unique terroir of their shale hillside site. Adam Fizyta, second-generation owner and vigneron, has expanded the vineyard with guidance from renowned viticulturists, aiming to unlock its full potential and ensure its vitality for future generations. The winery's cellar is built into the hill, maintaining a consistent temperature below 55°F, and features concrete tanks imported from Burgundy for fermentation and élevage. Catoctin Breeze wines are available through their wine club, Catoctin Cru, which offers exclusive access to Concerto and members-only benefits. Visitors can experience the winery's beautiful mountain views and tasting room, but must be 21 or older and part of a group of six or less.
