Charlie T. Locklear Vineyard & Winery

Charlie T. Locklear Vineyard & Winery is a Lumbee-owned, family-run winery in Maxton, in the heart of Robeson County, North Carolina. The Locklear family has worked North Carolina agriculture for generations, and many of the muscadine grapes used in their wines are grown on the family farm. The winery produces handcrafted muscadine and fruit wines, including sweet wines, seasonal fruit wines, and signature muscadine bottlings. Visitors can stop in for complimentary guided tastings in a relaxed tasting room with vineyard surroundings. Reservations are not required for most visits, though groups are asked to contact the winery ahead of time. The property welcomes families, leashed pets, and guests using wheelchairs. Throughout the year the winery hosts seasonal celebrations, live music, festivals, and special events, and it operates a wine club with new releases, discounts, and member-only benefits.
