Château Cos Labory

Château Cos Labory is a Grand Cru Classé 1855 winery located in Saint-Estèphe, France. The estate's name originates from its geographical location on the Cos hill and François Labory, who owned it until 1845. In 2023, Michel Reybier and his family acquired the property, marking a new chapter in its history. They aim to preserve the estate's independence while promoting excellence through their terroir-driven approach. The vineyard, spanning 35 hectares, is planted with a mix of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%), Merlot (33%), and smaller proportions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The oldest vines, situated at the top of the Cos plateau, produce the flagship wine, Château Cos Labory. The winery offers several wines, including Charme de Cos Labory, a young, fruit-forward wine; Château Andron Blanquet, a balanced blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc; and Le Saint Estèphe de Cos Labory, the second wine of the estate, composed mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is known for its elegant flavors of black fruits and velvety texture. Visitors can arrange a tasting experience at the winery by reservation only.
