Chateau Fontaine is a family-owned winery located in Leelanau County, Michigan. Founded by Dan and Lucie Matthies in 1989, the winery has grown to encompass three distinct vineyards across 75 acres, with a focus on fruit-forward wines that showcase the unique terroir of the Leelanau Peninsula AVA. The Matthies family's commitment to sustainable grape-growing practices is evident in their carefully selected varietals, which include Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Viognier, and Syrah.
