Château Malescasse

Château Malescasse is a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel winery located in the Haut-Médoc region of Bordeaux, situated between Margaux and Saint-Julien on the commune of Lamarque. The estate has been owned by the Austruy family since 2012 and is renowned for its high-quality wines and privileged terroir. The vineyards are planted on the best gravel soils in the Médoc, where Merlot and Cabernet grapes express themselves with harmony. Château Malescasse possesses the Vignoble & Découverte label and is part of the Bordeaux Wine Route. The winery has undergone significant renovations to meet quality standards, including the restoration of its 19th-century chartreuse and modernization of its chai. Philippe Austruy, the owner, aims to produce wines that are dense and velvety, synonymous with excellence. The tasting experience at Château Malescasse is available by reservation only, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM. Visitors can enjoy wine tastings and tours of the estate, which also offers a luxurious B&B experience, "Château d'Hôtes de Malescasse." This unique opportunity allows guests to live like châtelains for a weekend or short stay, enjoying high-end services and exploring the vineyard and surrounding region.
