Conn Creek Winery

Conn Creek Winery was founded in 1973 by Bill and Kathy Collins and remains one of the older continuously operating wine brands in Napa Valley. The Collins family built the current winery in the Rutherford appellation in 1979, creating an energy-efficient facility with 12-inch-thick walls made of Styrofoam, steel mesh, gunite, and 20,000 corks, perhaps the first "green" winery building in Napa Valley. The winery concentrates on Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varietals, sourcing grapes from Napa's renowned AVAs. Tastings take place at The Yount Room, the winery's downtown Yountville tasting room. Winemaker Jean Hoefliger, born and raised in Switzerland, oversees production, bringing experience from estates including Château Lynch-Bages, Château Carbonnieux, and Newton Vineyard.
