Cougar Crest Winery, established in 2001 by Deborah and David Hansen, is located in the Walla Walla Valley of Washington State. The winery operates four estate vineyards: Cougar Hills, Noble Rock, Rock Bottom, and another unnamed property. Cougar Hills is situated near the original Seven Hills Vineyard, while Noble Rock is located in the Rocks District of Milton-Freewater AVA, known for its unique river rock soil profile that imparts savory characteristics to Syrah. Rock Bottom, planted with various varieties, produces grapes used in the winery's core portfolio wines. The Walla Walla Valley's dry climate and sandy loam soils allow for precise control over water availability, resulting in high-quality grapes.
