Crescent Moon Winery

Crescent Moon Winery is a grape-growing estate in Lawrence, Kansas, with a 20-acre vineyard that is expanding each year. The winery makes estate-grown wines across a wide range of styles, from dry through semi-sweet to sweet, using eleven varieties. Its white grapes are Riesling, Vignoles, Seyval Blanc, Chardonel, Edelweiss, La Crescent, and Gruner Veltliner; its red grapes are Cabernet Franc, St Croix, Noiret, Norton, and Chambourcin. Tastings are offered at two locations: the rural winery and vineyard, where visitors can sample wines on the patio overlooking the valley, stroll the vines, and relax by the water; and a downtown Lawrence tasting room on Massachusetts Street. A visit to the estate includes wine tastings, vineyard walks, and open indoor and outdoor seating until close. Children are welcome with close supervision, pets are allowed on leashes, and guests may bring their own food or purchase charcuterie trays and snacks. The winery also rents its event space, which seats up to 60 people, for bridal showers, birthdays, and other small gatherings. Reservations are required only for larger groups.
