Cultura Winery is a micro-boutique winery located in the Yakima Valley, specializing in fine red wines. Founded by Tad and Sarah Fewel, the winery focuses on quality over quantity, producing under 1000 cases per year. Their wines are hand-crafted from local and estate vineyards to reflect the terroir of the region, with a focus on Bordeaux-style red blends, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, and Cabernet Franc. The winery's tasting room is open March to November on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00-5:00, with reservations available Monday through Friday for curbside pickup or wine club members. The Fewels' connection to the land dates back to their great-grandfather's pear orchard in Zillah, which still produces fruit today. Their transition from fruit farming to viticulture and winemaking was not without its challenges, but they have been able to create one of the finest examples of Zinfandel in Washington state. The winery's unique barn tasting room offers a laid-back approach to wine tasting, allowing visitors to discover their passion for artisanal wines.
