D. Berardinis Winery

D. Berardinis Winery is a small-batch producer in Polson, Montana, on the south shore of Flathead Lake. Owner and winemaker Dana Berardinis began making wine from fruit harvested around her cabin on the East Shore of Flathead Lake, inspired by stories of her great grandfather's winemaking in Italy's Abruzzo region. The winery still works in a handcrafted, traditional way, using hand-picked fruit and grapes grown in small orchards, farms, and vineyards across the Flathead and Mission Valleys. The portfolio centers on Montana fruit and berries, including Flathead cherries, Bartlett pears, wild huckleberries, and apples, alongside a Marquette red made from the cold-hardy hybrid grown in small lakeside vineyards. The tasting room occupies a historic building on Main Street, with an outdoor patio and wine barrels visible where the wine is made. Visitors can taste by the flight or glass, or book a private seated tasting with a local charcuterie board. A light food menu of locally sourced cheeses and meats is also available.
