Demetria Estate Winery

Demetria Estate Winery is a family-owned and operated winery located in Santa Barbara County, California. Founded by John Zahoudanis in 2005, the estate was named after his daughter Demetria, who was inspired by the Greek goddess of harvest, Demeter. The winery's vineyards are farmed biodynamically, with 45 acres planted to Rhone varietals and five white and five red varieties. In addition to their own estate-grown wines, Demetria also sources organic Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from trusted vineyards in cooler appellations on the Central Coast for their Burgundy-style wines. The winery is known for its focus on family and sustainability, with John's son Alexis working full-time on the estate since 2009. Winemaker Ryan Roark joined the team in 2019.
