Denison Cellars

Denison Cellars is a small-production winery located in McMinnville, Oregon, at the heart of the Willamette Valley. Founded by Tim and Denise Wilson, the winery focuses on creating elegant and balanced wines that showcase the unique attributes of outstanding, small, sustainably-farmed vineyards throughout the region. With an annual production of approximately 1,000 cases, Denison Cellars is a boutique operation that sources exceptional grapes from sites such as Johnson Ridge Vineyard, Eola Springs Vineyard, Stiling Vineyard, Poco Vineyard, and others in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA and the Rocks District of Milton-Freewater AVA. Winemaker Tim Wilson's commitment to purity of fruit and highlighting the distinct characteristics of each vineyard is evident in his winemaking philosophy. Denison Cellars' wines are primarily focused on Pinot Noir, with some Syrah and Malbec also produced from the Rocks District. The winery's story began as a passion project for Tim Wilson, who transitioned from a career in credit card processing to pursue his love of winemaking after earning an enology degree at California State University Fresno. With a background in making acclaimed wines for other producers, Tim and Denise launched Denison Cellars with the 2009 vintage, seeking to create wines that reflect the appellations and vineyards from which they are sourced.
