Domeniul Kelaru

Domeniul Kelaru is a winery located in the Dealu Mare region of Muntenia, Romania, founded in 2002 by the Chelaru family. The winery's vineyards cover an area of 11.37 hectares and produce a range of grape varieties including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Feteasca Neagra, Feteasca Regala, Sauvignon Blanc, and Syrah. In the 1930s, Bucur Bunescu purchased a property in Valea Calugareasca where red wines had already gained fame, but communist rule suspended history until the winery's rebirth in 2002. The Chelaru family replanted vineyards with international varieties in 2011 and expanded to include local grape varieties in 2012.
