Dove Valley Winery

Dove Valley Vineyard and Winery is a multi-generation, 100-acre family farm on the outskirts of Rising Sun in Cecil County, Maryland. Owners Harry and Janet Hepbron planted the first vines in 1998, making Dove Valley the first vineyard and winery in Cecil County, with the aim of building a family legacy to pass down to future generations. The winery works with Cabernet Franc, Vignole, Zinfandel, Merlot, Riesling, Bianca, and Pinot Noir, producing both traditional varietal wines and sweet wines such as O'Cherry, Cotton Candy, Strawberry Kisses, and Orange Creamsicle. Its wines have earned recognition at the Maryland Governor's Cup and Finger Lakes International competitions, including Best in Class, Double Gold, Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards. Visitors can come for tastings, and the farm hosts events and workshops ranging from stained glass and gourd crafting to karaoke and sushi-making.
