Elkin Creek Vineyard

Elkin Creek Vineyard was established in 2001 by Mark Greene and his wife on the site of an 1896 grist mill in the Yadkin Valley AVA. The winery overlooks Big Elkin Creek and the century-old Elkin Creek Mill, with four acres of vineyards planted to Merlot, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Its wines are crafted in European-inspired styles, including a Burgundy-style Chardonel, French Chablis-style Chardonnay, and German-style Dornfelder, alongside reds such as Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and the Rossa blend. Since 2011, the property has been owned by two families: Nick and Jennifer White and Louis and Carrie Jeroslow, with Louis Jeroslow serving as winemaker. Visitors can taste in the tasting room, stay in creek-side cabins, and reserve Sunday brick-oven pizzas made by hand. The winery also hosts weddings, private celebrations, and wine-pairing dinners.
