Fenestra Winery

Fenestra Winery, established in 1976 by Lanny and Fran Replogle, is a Livermore Valley winery celebrating 50 years of fine winemaking. The winery's history dates back to the Replogles' first foray into winemaking in the late 1950s, with Lanny's background in chemistry providing a solid foundation for his craft. After years of making wine at home, they founded Ventana Winery in Pleasanton and later relocated to Livermore, renaming it Fenestra (Latin for window) in recognition of their new location. The winery specializes in classically balanced wines from primarily Livermore Valley grapes, with a focus on traditional winemaking techniques. Aaron Luna, the current winemaker, brings a wealth of experience to the role, having worked at notable wineries such as Bernardus and Stags Leap, before joining Fenestra in the beautiful Livermore Valley. The winery's tasting room is located in the historic George True Winery building on Vallecitos Road, which was refurbished in 1997 and features a stunning vineyard setting. Visitors can make reservations for wine tastings and enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding vineyards. With its rich history, commitment to traditional winemaking, and picturesque location, Fenestra Winery offers an authentic wine country experience for visitors.
