Fidélitas

Fidélitas is a family-owned winery nestled in the heart of Washington's Red Mountain AVA, known for its distinctive terroir. The winery's roots date back to 1975, when the area was initially used for goat farming due to its challenging terrain. However, it wasn't until 1982 that the Fidélitas family began their generational pursuit of crafting world-class wines. Charlie, the founder, drew inspiration from his time in Napa Valley and fell in love with California Cabernet after tasting Red Mountain's potential in 1989. The winery's philosophy is centered around "family-made" wines, where every step of the process, from vineyard selection to bottling, is personally overseen by the family. Fidélitas' winemaking style is characterized by bold and tannic wines, made possible by the region's natural hardships such as extreme winds, hot days, and cold snaps. The unique terroir, combined with deficit irrigation, yields small berries with thick skins, resulting in full-bodied wines that are balanced by a natural freshness preserved through rapid temperature shifts at night. Tastings and tours can be arranged at either the Red Mountain or Woodinville locations, offering visitors an opportunity to experience the winery's passion for crafting world-class wines from this distinctive terroir.
