Fork of Cheat Winery

Forks of Cheat Winery is a premium wine production facility nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of north central West Virginia, producing over 20,000 gallons of fine wines annually. Established in 1990 by Jerry Deal after he was caught stealing grapes and subsequently planted his own vineyard, the winery has become known for its old-world tradition and wide variety of prize-winning wines. The Deals' family-owned business is joined by a team of staff who have become like extended family, contributing to the winery's reputation as West Virginia's premier winery. Forks of Cheat Winery offers a range of wines, including dry reds like Cabernet Sauvignon and Chambourcin, as well as fruit wines such as Pomegranate, Pear, Sugar Plum, Peach, Apple, and Blueberry, all made from locally sourced fruits whenever possible. Visitors can enjoy inside seating or the deck in fair weather, Monday through Sunday, with hours of operation from 10am to 5pm on weekdays and 11am to 5pm on Saturdays, and 1pm to 5pm on Sundays. Orders can be placed online for delivery within 5 business days through their partnership with Vinoshipper, making it easy to enjoy Forks of Cheat's wines in the comfort of your own home.
