Fountain City Winery

Fountain City Winery is located in the West Bottoms District of Kansas City, Missouri, within an artsy industrial space. The winery serves a variety of wines, including Arabesque Breeze (Vidal Blanc), Trumpeter (Chardonnay), Harmony of Gold (Oak Aged Peach), and Old Lions (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot). Their wine list also features other varietals such as Noiret, Riesling, Chambourcin, Viognier, Peach, Plum, and Frontenac. Fountain City Winery offers a tasting experience with a fun atmosphere, serving beer and limited seasonal cocktails. The winery can accommodate events up to 200 people and is open Thursday through Sunday. The owners, Jay and Melissa, met at a winery and share a passion for wine and art. Jay has a background in winemaking, having completed his doctorate at UC Davis and working as head winemaker at Cedar Ridge in Iowa. Melissa brings experience in running tasting rooms and managing events, and the two have combined their skills to create Fountain City Winery.
