Freja Cellars

Freja Cellars is a monopole winery located in the Chehalem Mountains above the Willamette Valley, Oregon, with a focus on producing handcrafted, artisanal Pinot Noir and Albariño wines from their 100% estate-grown vineyards. The winery was founded by Willy Gianopulos in 1998, who began planting the hilltop vineyard in 1988, joining the burgeoning Pinot Noir viticulture landscape in the Willamette Valley. Now in its second generation, Freja Cellars continues to grow and produce wines with a light touch and reverence for the land, utilizing low-intervention winemaking techniques that allow their unique terroir to shine through. The vineyards are situated at high elevation on Laurelwood loess soil, yielding complex and age-worthy wines. Visitors can experience the farm-to-glass wine production by appointment or during public events, with opportunities to taste and tour the estate. Freja Cellars is a small-production winery, limiting their club membership to 150 members who receive exclusive access to Estate and Reserve wines, as well as benefits such as complimentary tastings, barrel tastings, and priority access to limited production wines.
