Gale Vineyards & Winery

Gale Vineyards & Winery is a family-owned winery located in Butte County, California's North Valley. Founded in 2001 by Steve and Creasia Gale, the vineyard has been a labor of love from its inception, with each estate varietal grown using organic farming practices and dry farmed to produce rich, concentrated fruit. The winemaking style is inspired by Old World techniques, with a focus on handcrafted wines made in small batches. The Estate Series features three signature wines: Primitivo, Albariño, and Rosé, each showcasing the region's warmer climate and unique terroir. Mélange, a premium red table wine blend, rounds out the offerings. The tasting room, open Saturdays from noon to 5 pm, offers a rustic and charming atmosphere, with a beautiful setting amidst the vineyards just outside of Chico. Visitors praise the winery for its welcoming owners, Steve and Creasia, who often pour wine at tastings, as well as the stunning grounds and delicious wines, particularly the Rosé.
