Grgic Vinarija

Grgic Vinarija is a family-owned winery located in Trstenik, Peljesac Peninsula, Croatia, north of the historic city walls of Dubrovnik. The winery was founded in 1996 by Miljenko "Mike" Grgich, his daughter Violet Grgich, and nephew Ivo Jeramaz, all with a rich background in winemaking, particularly from Napa Valley. Their focus is on producing high-quality traditional Croatian wines, primarily Pošip white wine and Plavac Mali red wine. The grapes for these wines come exclusively from the best vineyards in Peljesac and Korčula regions, with particular attention paid to eco-friendly cultivation practices. Fermentation of their wines occurs naturally using natural yeast at controlled temperatures, resulting in wines that retain their varietal character and fruit flavors. Pošip wine is produced from the same-named white grape variety grown on the island of Korčula, while Plavac Mali wine comes from the Peljesac region. Both wines have received numerous awards and recognitions as among the best Croatian wines available. Visitors can taste their wines at the winery in Trstenik, open daily from 9:00 to 19:00, except for Saturdays, Sundays, Christmas, and Easter.
