Haven Pointe Winery

Haven Pointe Winery is located at 961 East 1600 Road in southeast Douglas County, near Baldwin City, Kansas, in the Kaw River Valley. The property has a vineyard in front of the tasting room, which is open year-round for private tastings scheduled at least 24 hours in advance with winemaker Tom Holland. Bottled wines are available for purchase, and pets are not permitted. The winery produces red and white French-American hybrid wines, fruit wines, and meads, all made with Kansas-grown grapes, fruit, or honey. Estate-grown varieties include Chambourcin and Traminette. The lineup ranges from dry, French-oaked Chambourcin and Seyval Blanc to sweet wines such as Jelly Jar and Seduction, plus meads made from Kansas wild clover honey. Haven Pointe also sells wines at the Lawrence Farmers Market on Saturday mornings and can ship orders to eligible out-of-state addresses.
