Heritage By L’ecole

Heritage by L'Ecole No 41 is a third-generation family-owned winery based in Walla Walla Valley, Washington. Founded in 1983 by Baker Ferguson and his wife Jean, the winery was initially driven by a mission to prove that Washington State could produce world-class wine. The first vintage, a 1983 Merlot, earned a Gold Medal at the Pacific Northwest Enological Society in 1986. Under the leadership of Megan Ferguson Clubb and her husband Marty Clubb, who took over in 1989, the winery has grown to become one of the most respected and highly acclaimed winery estates in Washington State. The estate is known for its estate-grown wines from vineyards such as Seven Hills Vineyard and Ferguson Vineyard, with a focus on Bordeaux-style blends. L'Ecole's commitment to innovation, community leadership, and long-term investment reflects the pioneering spirit of Dorsey Syng Baker, who donated land that became Whitman College in the 1860s. The winery offers wine dinners, events, and tastings at its Woodinville tasting room, as well as online shopping with ground shipping on orders of six or more bottles.
