Heron Hill Winery is a family-owned winery driven by a passion for sustainability and community service, with over 50 years of experience in growing high-quality grapes and producing world-class wines. The winery's portfolio includes sustainably farmed wines available for purchase on their website or at one of two tasting room locations: on Keuka Lake in Hammondsport, New York, and on Canandaigua Lake in Canandaigua, New York. The winery also offers a unique experience with its River Cruise down the Blue Danube, a 7-night deluxe river cruise available for registration. The winery's story began in 1969 when John and Jo met at the University of Denver, where they both developed an interest in wine after trying Ripple wine at a party. Inspired by their experiences working in a neighbor's vineyard picking Concord grapes in 1971, John decided to pursue a career in winemaking, drawn to the idea of cultivating the land, being his own boss, and producing crops he could be proud of. Today, Heron Hill Winery remains committed to its founding principles of sustainability and community service, making it a unique destination for wine enthusiasts seeking high-quality wines and a memorable experience.
