Honey & Hops Brew Works

Honey & Hops Brew Works is a meadery in Front Royal, Virginia, in the Shenandoah Valley. Founded by brothers from Alaska, the operation opened its first tasting room in April 2020 and produces small-batch, handcrafted honey wine. The founders started with five initial flavors, including four session-style meads and the full-bodied Back Trails blueberry mead, and have since released dozens of varieties. Their lineup ranges from traditional styles such as Scenic Drive to experimental recipes like Creeper, made with chocolate, Carolina Reaper peppers, cocoa nibs, cinnamon, and honey. The team emphasizes locally sourced ingredients and careful production, taking care not to over-steep the peppers in Creeper. The tasting room is casual and family-focused, with the guest experience at the center, and visitors can learn the backstories of individual meads through the producers video series.
