iOTA Cellars/Pelos Sandberg Vineyard is a boutique winery located in the Eola-Amity Hills of Yamhill County, Oregon, within the Willamette Valley AVA. The winery focuses on producing high-quality, handcrafted pinot noir wines from their estate-grown grapes. Johanna and Don Sandberg, owners and winemakers, relocated to Portland in 1999 to pursue their dream of making wine in Oregon's renowned Pinot Noir region. They planted their first vines at Pelos Sandberg Vineyard in 2000 and began producing wine under the iOTA Cellars label in 2006. The winery is built on-site, utilizing solar energy, and produces small lots of wine from low-yielding vines. In addition to bottling their own wines, they sell grapes to other local winemakers. The Sandbergs' commitment to quality over quantity is reflected in their winemaking philosophy, which emphasizes minimal intervention and a focus on premium grape production.
