Knostman Family Winery

Knostman Family Winery is situated along the North Umpqua River in the Umpqua Valley region of Oregon. The winery was founded by Joni and Chuck Knostman in 2019 with a focus on producing high-quality wines from their four-acre estate vineyard. The vineyard is planted with a mix of white and red varietals, including Muscat, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Syrah. Knostman Family Winery's winemaking style is characterized by fruit-forward wines made using slow, cool fermentations with minimal intervention. Reds are aged in oak for 8 months or longer before bottling. The tasting room is open on Thursdays by appointment, Fridays from 2-5 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5 pm. Visitors can enjoy a variety of estate wines, including whites like Muscat and Pinot Gris, and reds such as Gamay Noir and Cabernet Franc. The winery also produces rosé wines, including a Pinot Noir Rosé and a saignée Rosé. A new red blend, comprising 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Malbec, is currently being released. Wine club members receive up to 20% off all wine purchases, as well as complimentary tastings and event reservations. The winery is a proud member of the Umpqua Valley Winegrowers Association.
