La Chapelle Saint Vincent

La Chapelle Saint Vincent is a winery located in the Saint-Emilion region of Bordeaux, France. The estate spans 16 hectares and comprises three crus: Château Moine Vieux, Château La Rose Bigaroux, and Château Clos Saint-Vincent. The terroir is characterized by a gravelo-siliceous soil, typical of the Right Bank's best crus, with a vein of Graves that adds a silky texture to the tannins. The vineyard is planted with 78% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon, aged on average for 25 years. The winemaking style at La Chapelle Saint Vincent is traditional, with some vintages undergoing a pre-fermentation cold maceration in temperature-controlled tanks. The wines are then aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, with one-third of the barrel stock renewed annually. Since 2020, the estate has opened its cellars to visitors and offers wine sales on-site. La Chapelle Saint Vincent is committed to environmental responsibility, having implemented a Sustainable Management System (SME) since 2016 and achieving ISO 14001 certification in 2017 through the first SME association of Bordeaux wines. The estate also holds High Environmental Value (HVE) certification for its 2016 vintage.
