Lamberts Winery

Lambert's Winery has been operating in Weston, West Virginia, since 1993. Jim and Debbie Lambert invite visitors to tour the property, which centers on a small Gothic-style stone building set on a hillside surrounded by a vineyard. The winery walls are built from hand-cut stones gathered from across the state, some weighing as much as 3,000 pounds. Inside, the tasting room holds a three-inch-thick bar top cut in Canada in the 1950s, a fireplace with rocking chairs, and shelves of West Virginia pottery for sale. The winery produces a range of wines, including a sweet wine with a slight tart finish, a clean and crisp white, an earthy wine suggested with beef and chocolate, and a semi-dry blush. Tours and tastings are offered daily, and guests can also browse West Virginian crafts. The property hosts weddings in an on-site banquet facility with a wraparound porch and offers a one-bedroom rental cabin overlooking the grounds.
