Liquid Art Winery

Liquid Art Winery sits on one of the highest points of the Flint Hills in Manhattan, Kansas, where Kansas natives David and Danielle Tegtmeier founded the estate in 2014 after recognizing similarities between the local limestone and clay soils and the soils of prominent European wine regions. Their hillside vineyard is planted mainly with Vitis Vinifera grapes such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay, using southern exposure and natural slope for frost protection and ripening through sustainable viticulture. The winery produces wine, craft cider, and beer, and opened a tasting room in 2016, followed by an event center, barrel room, and outdoor amphitheater. Visitors can drop into the tasting room Wednesday through Sunday without reservations, order pizzas, charcuterie, and drinks, or take behind-the-scenes winery and vineyard tours. The property also hosts weddings, concerts, and private gatherings across its indoor and outdoor event spaces.
