Locati Cellars

Locati Cellars is a winery based in the Walla Walla Valley appellation of Washington state, producing Italian-style wines using estate-grown fruit from their vineyard. The winery's estate vineyard lies near the center of the Walla Walla Valley, with vines planted in wind-blown loess soil overlying deposits of sand, silt, and gravel from the Missoula floods. The unique topography of the vineyard allows for precise control of irrigation water and focuses solar radiation onto the leaves and soil. Locati Cellars' wines are produced by Jason Fox, a graduate of the Institute for Enology and Viticulture at Walla Walla Community College. The winery is located in a shared facility with four other wineries on the west side of Walla Walla. The winery produces a range of Italian varietals, including Sangiovese, Barbera, Dolcetto, Nebbiolo, Orange Muscat, Pinot Gris, Primitivo, Tempranillo, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Innovation Red Blend is one of their notable offerings, described as having full body with dried fruit and spice notes. Locati Cellars has been family-owned for over two decades, but the winery will be closing its doors in January 2026 due to being sold out of stock. The vineyard is now owned by Wagon Wrench Farms, but they continue to work with this fruit annually.
