Love Wines

Love Wines is a small-batch winery in Ludington, Michigan, where winemaker Jana Rose crushes, presses, and ferments grapes and local fruit on site. Rose opened the winery in October 2014 after studying enology at Purdue University under Christian Butzke, and she specializes in country-style wines with bold fruit flavor and aroma. Most of the grapes come from nearby vineyards, including Summit Valley Vineyard in Ludington, Big Birch Vineyard in Benona Township, and J & H Vineyards in Hart, with additional local fruits such as cherries, blueberries, peaches, strawberries, cranberries, and elderberries going into the blends. The portfolio runs from dry to sweet and includes dessert wines like Chocolate Raspberry Cordial and a Caramel Coffee port-style wine. The Ludington tasting room offers walk-in tastings during business hours, with staff who have assisted in production. Children are welcome, and snacks and non-alcoholic options are available. Private facility tours, tasting-room rentals, and large-group reservations can be arranged by phone. Love Wines also operates additional tasting rooms in Manistee, Lowell, and Cedar Springs.
